EDITORIAL

In this issue, we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Mandurah Philatelic Society with an excellent article by Harold Clay (founding Member), giving us his account of the formation of the club 25 years ago.

I would like to thank all the committee members and others that have contributed to making the 25th celebrations a successful night. I would like to thank our special guest and one of the foundation members, Bert Blackman, for making the long trip to our club.  Also, a special thanks to his daughter Sandra for providing the transportation for him.

Please keep in mind the up and coming AGM.  We are looking for a few more volunteers for the committee.  I have enclosed a nomination form with this newsletter.

I would also like to give a special vote of thanks to Ian Howell, who has not only taken on the Treasurer's job this year, but also has chaired the last two meetings,  as I have not been able to attend.

As editor, I would appreciate some assistance in compiling the newsletter.  Do keep any articles/comments coming in to us, details of unusual or interesting finds, interesting philatelic articles that you have read in a book or magazine and suggestions for things that you would like to read about.
